What is the best camera for high quality audio? What is the most affordable and easiest to produce good quality sound?

Update, November 2026
Most cameras record mediocre audio through their built-in mics. The best approach is a good external microphone, shotgun or lav, going into a camera with XLR inputs or into a separate recorder, then syncing in post. Good sound on set saves hours later.

None. If you're referring to the microphone quality. Cameras audio capturing techniques are pretty much afterthoughts. The best you can do is to get a camera that has XLR inputs and get a high quality mic from Sennheiser, Audio Technica, or Azden.
