Bolex EBM Power Source

I've got a 16mm Bolex EBM which takes an internal 12v 1000 mAh battery, but I'd like something that last longer before needing recharge. Shelton Communication has a Bescor battery pack that he says will work with the EBM, but it delivers 12v 3.4 Ah.

1) Is there any risk delivering more amps to the camera then it's potentially made to handle?

2) Anyone on here using an EBM, and if so, how are you powering it?

Thanks in advance.

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. A battery's amp-hour rating is just its capacity, not a force pushed into the camera. The camera only draws the current it needs, so a 12V 3.4Ah pack will simply run longer than the 1000mAh one.

The important things are that the voltage matches what the EBM is designed for and the connector polarity is correct. Check the camera's manual or a Bolex specialist before connecting. Our Cameras, Lenses & Gear forum is a good place to ask other Bolex users.
