Sekonic Meter Repair

Hi!

I was just shooting and I slipped on a patch of ice while wearing my Sekonic 608C meter on my hip. I hit the ground pretty hard - after getting up I quickly examined my meter. Much to my horror I've cracked the neck of the rotating meter globe - it still spins though. The meter still turns on and seems to function (for both incident and spot mode) although I haven't checked it against another meter.

How much would something like this probably cost? Is there anywhere in Toronto that I can send it?

Thanks!

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Sorry about the fall! For a cracked dome on a meter like the L-608, contact Sekonic's authorized service center for your country (listed on Sekonic's website) for a quote; the dome is a replaceable part, and the meter should be checked for calibration afterward. Until then, compare its readings against another meter to see if it's still accurate. In Toronto, pro camera rental houses can usually point you to a trusted repair shop. I hope it's been working well since!
