Best file format for outpot link to ppt presentation

I've been exporting FCP videos as .mov files. Unfortunately, .mov is not a valid file format in PowerPoint for Windows. I intend to link the movie to a PowerPoint slide. What do you suggest, .avi, .mpeg, .wmv? And, are there any tips I need to know for exporting from FCP to these file formats? Thank-you.

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Today the safest choice is an H.264 MP4 file, which current versions of PowerPoint on Windows and Mac play reliably. Export at the size you need (1920x1080 or 1280x720), and embed the video in the presentation rather than linking, so it travels with the file. Always test on the presentation computer before the event.
