Need Help!

Im struggleing to figure out the best way to go about doing a particular editing concept. Essentially, Im trying to clone a character on screen, I need to have two of the exact same person interacting in the same frame. I know alot of this comes with camera placement, anything anyone could tell me on how to go about doing this would be appreciated, particularly in regards to editing. Thanks alot.

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. The classic clone shot is a split screen. Lock the camera on a tripod, keep the exposure, focus and white balance fixed, and shoot the actor on one side of the frame, then the other side. In your editor, stack the two takes and use a mask to show each half. For interaction, rehearse eyelines and timing with a stand-in, and use a soft-edged mask along a line in the background. I hope your clone scene worked!
