Quicktime 6 compatible which is mpeg 4 LAN streaming or Quicktime 7 compatible H.264 for LAN. Anyway you can keep your final project under 100mb for posting on the web usually works.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to set up a MacBook Pro system to monitor 5.1 surround sound in Soundtrack Pro.
Right now I can hook up my MacBook pro using a miniplug adaptor which goes into the digital headphone out. The miniplug converts the 1/8' jack to a digital SPDIF toslink which...
I haven't messed around with drawing in motion, I've just used the built in particle emissions that are in the library. There are ways to add those in and manipulate them in 3D.
What do you need to know and what are the exams like when getting certified for Final Cut Pro 6? I have been working with Final Cut Pro for three years and have read the Apple Pro Training book for Final Cut Pro, the majority of it was simple review. Is it really that easy?
The difference between PAL and NTSC is that they have different scan and frame rates. DVNTSC usually runs at 29.97fps as PAL runs at 25fps. In Final Cut Studio you can convert footage through Compressor to mpeg2 for DVD. What it does is it separates the audio from the video and then you can burn...
I have an HV20 and I've been really impressed with it. It has a lot of features that larger digital video cameras have and the image quality is pretty good. It works well with film editing programs in HD too.
Final Cut Pro 6 has an open format timeline where you can combine SD and HD footage into a single timeline. You may have to simply resize the HD footage to fit the canvas but thats about it as to my knowledge.
Motion and Livetype have a lot of text capabilities. If you know how to use Motion, which isn't too hard to learn, there is a lot you can do with text but if you just want simple scrolling text you can do that pretty easily as well.
I've thought about filming a few vehicle scenes, not necessarily car chases but suspenseful vehicle sequences and was wondering if anybody knows any somewhat inexpensive ways to light and film scenes from inside and around vehicles. That includes dialog between subjects inside vehicles, exterior...
One thing to do when you're shooting your subject is to stand far away from the subject and zoom in and use the manual focus so that the subject will be clear and the background will be blurry. That's one reason why film cameras are different than digital cameras. Another way to do it is in...
In the industry for every 100 script that they read maybe one will go on to make a film. Unless you know people in the industry its kinda hard to just sell an idea.
I'd say be creative. I took the audio from a car trunk closing in a parking garage and it sounds better than most of the weapons effects I have or found. You can do things like adding reverb and compression to them and layering them so you get the desired semi or fully automatic weapons effect...
I haven't done it with a video camera live but I've done with a Pyro A/V link when I was recapturing one of my DVDs into Final Cut Pro 6. It has to do with the Capture and Device Control Presets. In Audio Video Settings set the Device Control preset to "Non Controllable Device." That should...
In DVD Studio Pro I've also found that it's a lot faster if you build your project first and then format it. It's a lot faster than doing both at the same time when you click burn. The process that takes the longest is the build, the format just burns the info onto the DVD.
