I know this is possible, and probably easy, i just can't find where the function is. I shot some footage on my dvx100a and when i scrub through the video i get 3 full frames then 2 interlaced frames... i don't remember if i shot 24p or 24pa. I just want to be able to get rid of those...

Hello.... i'm still a n00b in terms of post count here, but i've been reading for a while. anyways, on to the question. I am interested in purchasing an HVX in the coming few months. It would be used for filmmaking, but also wedding videography (gotta pay for it right?). So, my question is...

what are some other options, as to where to hold auditions. Obviously, your house isn't a good place.... parks are no good either..... What is the norm that no budget people use around here? (i'm in the orange county area btw)

also,... by doing the sound separately, it leaves you, the camera man, free to focus on the shot, and it gives the sound guy all the room he needs to record the sound he wants without getting in your way too much... i.e. he doesn't have to look at the view finder to check his levels, and/or run...

there's a menu where you can set your TC if you have TC Preset enabled, in there you can set the TC to whatever you'd like.... i usually 00:59:00;00 then record a minute of color bars to each tape, so when i start recording it is at 01:00:00;00 this should get rid of your weird TC issue...

surjones, what about the firestore? good? bad? indifferent? do you have any experience with it? and is anything else necc. with that setup? or could i get an hvx and a 100gb firestore (about 2000 for those talking about prices) and be good?
