1936 Never-released silent horror film in festivals!

I am producer and composer for a never-released 1936 silent horror film made by a then 19-year-old filmmaker in Seattle. If you are in LA, check this incredibly unusual nearly 90-year-old silent film. It has amazing VFX including a transition similar to an Oscar-winning effect done 5 years before in “Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde” - 1931) Richard Lyford made 9 films before he was 20 years old with family and friends. He then went on to work for Disney and eventually directed an Academy Award-winning film. If you are not able to attend the screenings (more are coming) feel free to contact me for links.

Congratulations on the incredible success of The Scalpel! It's amazing to see a nearly 90-year-old film getting such well-deserved recognition and bringing Richard Lyford's early work to light. The effects and the story sound fascinating, especially considering the historical context. Best of luck with the upcoming LA screenings...this is a treasure for film enthusiasts!
