Flaming Fly Fishing Line?

[pdieter]

I'm not in "the industry" but I'm trying to perform a stunt for an event that would require casting a fly line that is 'on fire' to one degree or another...anybody have some ideas on how to set it up?
thanks for humoring my search.

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting, Paul. Anything involving fire is dangerous, so a stunt like this should only be done with a licensed pyrotechnician or experienced fire safety professional, and with permission from the event and local fire authorities.

A much safer approach is to create the flame effect visually: lighting effects, LED line, or adding the fire in post. Please put safety first.
