Studying professional set lighting is still one of the best ways to learn. On a kitchen set like this, notice how light usually seems to come from the windows and practical fixtures, so the scene feels natural.

Try this: light one room in your home to look like a particular time of day, using one key source from a window direction. What's your favorite TV series for lighting reference?
