Does anyone have a release form for music? I appreciate any help.

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. A music release (or license) should name the song, the composer and publisher, who owns the recording, how and where the music can be used (festivals, online, broadcast), for how long, and any payment or credit.

Remember that a song usually has two rights: the composition (sync license) and the recording (master license). For anything beyond a student project, have an entertainment attorney look over the form. Our Composers forum is a good place to ask others what they use.
