solution? ppro 2 project..need OMF for sound mix...

[markcheng]

automatic duck's plugin's been discontinued, i talked to them directly and they confirmed there's no one step way to get from ppro 2 project to OMF.

anyone have experience in other scenarios? Avid and Final Cut can both do OMF export so I guess I'm looking at converting my ppro 2 to one of those apps using EDL or AAF. ANYONE have hands on experience doing this?

one issue i know of is that i have all footage on an external 300gb harddrive in NTFS format which Mac doesn't recognize.

help!!

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Back then the usual route was exporting AAF or an EDL from Premiere, conforming in Avid or Final Cut, and exporting OMF from there, with all media on one drive to avoid relinking problems. Today Premiere Pro exports both AAF and OMF directly, which Pro Tools imports. Always do a short test export with your sound mixer before the full turnover. I hope the mix went smoothly, Mark!
