howdy folks.

so here is my problem

I would sit down to work on a project
starting off with some simple video capture.

now the problem

The audio dies.

When i use the mouse to scroll around a clip it will squak here and there
so there's definitely sound
but then
when i preview/render

no sound...

is this a problem with the software or my sound card?

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. When audio scrubs but won't play on preview, it's often a sample-rate mismatch, for example 32 kHz camera audio in a 48 kHz project, or the playback device set wrong in the software's preferences. Check your project's audio settings against your footage, confirm the correct output device in the program and your computer's sound settings, and render the audio again. Updating your sound card driver can also help. I hope you got it working!
