Chapel lightning

Hello,

I am planning a shoot in a chapel. It will be a scene for a musicvideo.
I want a quite warmish look for it.
It will be a scene in one shot, a steadicam walk from platform crane into the chapel.
The chapel has 2 windows on each side, so i thought i could light from outside with 2x 5kw gelled 1/2 ctb arris. i will use some fog inside the chapel to get the light rays visible.
I do not think that only lightning from the outside will do the trick, so what could I do else to get a nicer image. maybe a hard 1kw spot from behind -above on the wedding pair, something like that...

anyone an idea?

thanks,robert

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting, Robert. Two gelled 5Ks through the windows with haze is a strong start, and it will give you those visible shafts of light. For a warm look, though, you may want to keep the window light closer to daylight or slightly cool and make the interior warm, so the contrast reads.

Since it's a Steadicam walk, hide warm practical sources inside the chapel: candles, warm bulbs in existing fixtures, or small LED units behind pews and pillars, so the frame never goes flat as you move. A soft toplight or a gentle backlight on the couple, rather than a hard spot, will separate them from the haze without looking staged. Our Lighting & Grip forum is a great place to share your plan and stills.
