Composer Needed

I am producing a series of instructional videos for teachers on the subject of special education. The budget is very small but I have a little money for music and instead of the usual royalty-free tracks I am considering working with a composer for a theme and background tracks. My thought is to variations on School Days (When We Were a Couple of Kids). That song was copyrighted in 1907 so I am hoping it is in the public domain (you will have to check that out). I am looking perhaps 6 or 7 cuts of about 1:00 each (maybe longer) with varying tempos from very simple piano (slow and light, childlike), to with some cuts with heartfelt strings (for caring teachers, happy kids footage). If you are interested, please contact me immediately. This is a professional production and you will get credit. JimT

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Instructional videos for special education teachers are a worthwhile project. Songs published in the United States before 1929 are now in the public domain, so the 1907 composition of School Days can be used and rearranged freely; just make sure any recording you use is your own new performance, since recordings have separate rights. A composer can write variations on the melody for your theme and background tracks. Post your request in this forum or at https://studentfilmmakers.com/casting-and-crew/. I hope the series has helped many teachers.
