Funding for 35mm Short Film

[Shaden Productions]

I am a film student directing my school's first undergraduate 35mm senior thesis film. I am trying to raise $7,000 for my five minute short film. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions. I am running into some problems because I am 1) a student, 2) not a non-profit.

Here is my website: www.shadenproductions.com

More about my film, Red Vines, can be found on the site, along with a donation page (if anyone is so inclined!).

Any fundraising tips would be very much appreciated!

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Directing your school's first undergraduate 35mm thesis is exciting. Many student filmmakers use fiscal sponsorship (organizations like Fractured Atlas and From the Heart Productions) to accept tax-deductible donations without being a nonprofit. Crowdfunding with a strong pitch video, Kodak's student programs and grants from our list at https://studentfilmmakers.com/verified-grant-and-lab-websites/ are worth exploring. I hope Red Vines got made!
