Hello everyone who happens to pass here :)
I was wondering if anyone could share some good advice, tip or any info piece on this problem encountered in Vegas. Perhaps even someone encountered the same trouble?
Few weeks ago on one day while doing routine work with friends on our musical video Vegas preview screen started to show very crippled, distorted preview of video.
Before taking drastic steps of all sort of installs, uninstalls what you people can say about this - is this hardware issue, video driver, codecs or Vegas fault?

I use Sony Vegas 8 with BlueFX plugins and I am working on HP Pavilion notebook with videocard GeForce Go 7400.

Any info would be greatfull. Sometimes this green screen starts to take away joy of work and angry emotions starts to overtake. Just want to settle things in dipomatic way, with some knowledge of problems causes :)

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. A distorted preview that appears suddenly is often a graphics driver problem, especially on laptops. Try updating the video card driver, turning off GPU acceleration in Vegas preferences, and clearing the preview cache.

If it only happens with certain plugins, disable them one at a time to find the cause. Our Editing & Post-production forum is a good place to ask more.
