Green Screen on Adobe Premiere

I am semi-new to film making (a few years) but brand new to this forum... i've always wanted to know how to use the green screen type effect on adobe premiere, and i havent found out how yet - does it have to do with the 'extract' effect in the video effects?

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. In Premiere Pro, use the Ultra Key effect (under Keying in the Effects panel): drag it onto your green screen clip, click the eyedropper on the green, and adjust the matte settings.

For a clean key, light the green screen evenly, keep the subject several feet in front of it, and avoid green clothing. Our Editing & Post-production forum is a great place to ask more.
