Hi there,
Can anybody suggest as to how i can match my 3d scene lighting (which includes HDRI, radiosity lighting setup) with green screen shots of an actor. Iam basically trying to blend a real person in an virtual enviroment. Any suggestion please?

thanks

the studio footage shots will be in 2K HD format (uncompressed) :?

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Matching CG lighting to a live-action plate is easier if you plan the shoot around your HDRI. Light the actor on the green screen to match the key direction, color and softness of the virtual environment, and keep the green spill low with distance between actor and screen.

In post, use the same HDRI for reflections and ambient light, add matching shadows and light wrap, and grade both elements together. Today, LED volume stages and image-based lighting make this much easier. Our VFX, Animation and Motion forum is a great place to share your tests.
