overlaying music

[SuperArmy]

hey i have my edited video with some of the original sound and i would like to overlay some of it with music .. now i have imported the music and put it onto a new "level" however it does not play.

how can i get the music to play over the video?

thanks

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. If the music track doesn't play, check that the track isn't muted or disabled, that the music clip is on an audio track rather than a video track, and that its volume isn't turned all the way down. Some editors also need the track's output assigned or the speaker icon switched on. Once it plays, lower the music under dialogue by a few decibels so voices stay clear. I hope your video turned out great!
