Plot for a portal movie.

Sorry if this is the wrong section.

Anyway, I have to make a short film for my subject multimedia, in my last year of schooling. I want to make a movie with the portal effect. For example:

Unfortunately I can't think of a plot for the portal movie. Any ideas? Extra points for originality.

Do they need to use that kind of prop? If not how about an old house with a mirror that allows you too look into the lives of lovers?

The portal is just the doorway that takes you into the New World.

One thing that happens within the New World is that the characters reverse, so you want to be thinking in terms of how you want them to change.
