When i try to use Adobe Media encoder to export my movie. there are black bars surrounding my video, so i searched a guide to fix it, and found that i go to the source tab and crop

But the problem is, whenever i crop, and resize the box around my video. nothing happens on the output or source.

I was exporting it out as a Windows media player file. if that matters :3 thanks for any help

Also when i try to edit the height/width on the export, it does nothing either >.<

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Black bars usually mean the export frame size or pixel aspect ratio doesn't match your sequence, so cropping in the encoder won't fix it. Make the export settings match the sequence (frame size, frame rate and pixel aspect ratio), or scale the clip to fill the frame in the timeline before exporting. In current versions of Premiere Pro, choose Match Source in the export settings and use the Crop effect or Set to Frame Size in the timeline instead. Adobe's Premiere Pro help pages are the best place to confirm the settings for your version. I hope you got it sorted!
