Question on how to ad a timer

I am putting together a highlight film of my son playing football for recruiting purposes and I want to add a visible timer to show how fast he snaps the ball to the punter.

Anyone know how to accomplish this. Drop me a line.

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Most editors have a timecode or counter effect: in Premiere Pro, add the Timecode effect or a text layer, and in DaVinci Resolve or After Effects, use a counter or the clip's timecode in a title. Start it at zero on the snap and stop it when the punter catches the ball. Good luck to your son with recruiting!
