Streaming

I'm having trouble streaming efficently. Could anybody please tell me the best format and specs. for exporting out of AVID for streaming video. I have learned mpeg4 is for streaming but there are so many different options to go along with it, and the quality and time of the stream is never satisfying. Anybody's help is highly appreciated. Thanks

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Today the standard for streaming is H.264 or H.265 in an MP4 file. Export a high-quality master from Avid first, then encode it with free tools like HandBrake or Adobe Media Encoder at your platform's recommended settings; YouTube and Vimeo both publish their upload specs. Uploading to those platforms lets them handle adaptive streaming for every viewer. I hope this helps!
