Target audience for thriller film

[joseoscarsanchez]

Hi:

I'm producing a political-apocalyptic thriller film and I need to know the target audience for this type of movie. Also where can I find related information. Maybe a guide which includes the different film genres and their respective target audiences.

Thanks...
Oscar

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Political and apocalyptic thrillers usually draw adults who enjoy suspense and big ideas, often 25 to 54. The best way to define your audience is to look at comparable films: who watched them, where they were released, and how they were marketed. The Numbers and Box Office Mojo show how similar films performed, and festival programmers in your genre can give useful insight.
