Vegas Audio Export Options

I do audio post/sound design in Pro Tools.

I have a potential client who is using Vegas. This is the first time for me, my previous clients have always used FCP or Avid. Previously I have always received the audio as OMF2.

This client tells me that Vegas cannot export the audio files as OMF2. Is this correct? If so, what are the export options that will retain the individual sound bites and their place in the time line?

I apologize for the delay in responding, and thank you for posting. Vegas couldn't export OMF natively, which caught many Pro Tools engineers off guard. Vegas Pro added AAF export around version 8, and Pro Tools can import AAF; another workaround is to have the editor export each track as a full-length WAV starting at the same point so the files line up in your session. Check the current VEGAS Pro documentation to confirm the settings for your version. I hope the project went smoothly!
