When we did them before, they brought real energy into the StudentFilmmakers community. People showed up, asked questions, shared work, learned from professionals, and connected with each other.
Now I’m wondering what would be most useful to bring back next.
We did Summer Shorts before, and even though summer has already started, maybe it’s not too late to do something around short films again. Or maybe we aim for something tied to Back to School and the next print issue.
I’m also thinking about our webinar topics.
Should we keep a strong focus on cinematography, or open it up to more areas of filmmaking?
For example, today I was thinking about stunt performers — the craft, safety, training, coordination, and what filmmakers should understand when working with stunts.
What would you like to see next: cinematography webinars, stunt-related sessions, directing, editing, sound, screenwriting, contests, or something else?
