Which is the best effect to correct burned images?

One of my biggest challenge is to fix the colors and lightning in photos and especially in videos. I was wondering if there isn't an easier method to do this. I have been using Lightroom but I saw there are many apps and filters that make many tasks seem like a child's play. Any suggestions?

Now this is a big challenge. I use Photoshop and Lightroom to correct burned image, but there is a degree to which you can correct them. If there would be an easier method, I would love to know it as well
